Archery:

archerAim for gold on our dedicated outdoors range. With its unique mix of fun and competing achieved through various games, this is a popular activity for all ages and abilities with strong benefits to the participants. Our qualified instructors take participants through the stages involved in loading, aiming and shooting an arrow at a target then provide coaching to maximise success and enjoyment.

Climbing:

Climbing is a physical and intense experience unrivalled by other sports. Having the largest climbing walls in the South East of England allows us to teach you the skill of climbing and experience the delights and relief of reaching the top of your first climb. The new complex provides a purpose built environment in which our instructors can teach you basic climbing techniques and introduce you to essential climbing equipment. We are also within driving distance of the sandstone outcrop in Kent, allowing staff to provide progression from the climbing wall to real rock.

Orienteering:

The nearby Harlow town provides an ideal training ground to develop the important life skill of reading a map. After thorough tuition in the fundamental parts of map reading, including orientating the map, symbols and scale as well as navigation strategies on the ground, participants head off in small groups to complete a variety of courses. For those with similar navigational ability our course can be expanded to include canoe orienteering.

Canoeing (two to three per craft paddling with a single blade paddle). Our BCU qualified staff will guide you through the basic strokes then allow time for practicing and reining technique through exercises and games. Both crafts can be used to journey and explore the waterway, giving participants opportunities to understand locks and get up close and personal with some fascinating wild life.
