Maes y Lade is an ideal location for walking and canoeing expeditions. We are located at the foot of the Black Mountains and only four miles away from River Wye.

Our staff are fully qualified and experienced in all aspects of Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions including the Accredited Expedition Assessors.

Our centre offers a warm and comfortable accommodation pre and post expedition with the option of self-catering for visiting staff. The centre has a fully equipped expedition store and an efficient drying room.

For Gold qualifying ventures we have used the Scotland (Canoe) and the French Pyrenees (Walking).
