Expedition Supervisor Training - Bronze, Silver

This two-day (non-residential) course will allow potential Bronze & Silver Expedition Supervisors to fully understand their role and responsibilities within the DofE framework, and provide them with the skills necessary to ensure a high quality experience for their young people.

Topics covered include:-

· Expedition supervision
· The role of the Supervisor.
· The aims and principles of the Expedition section
· The requirements and 20 conditions of the section
· Safety and emergency procedures relating to Expeditions
· The Expedition Supervisor's duty of care.

By the end of the course candidates will be able to link all of the above into a flexible supervision plan.

Essential pre-requisites for this course are:-

· Recommendation from an Operating Authority.
· Endorsement of technical competence from the Operating Authority.
· Previous attendance on 'Introduction to Expedition' course'.

Participants should also have some experience of delivering D of E expedition training.
