In particular, Essex Outdoors provides outdoor learning opportunities to young people. In 2007 46,840 young people visited our centres and took part in over 250,000 activity sessions. In addition, a total of 4,918 local and national certificates were issued through the Essex Outdoors team.
Centres
Our centres provide a wide range of challenging outdoor environments from the flatlands of Essex and the waters of the North Sea to the mountains of Wales. Most of our centres are residential, with accommodation for between 40 and 300 participants. We also have two environmental day centres at Daws Hall and Pelham.
